Why Cole's Choice
Exists

A Minnesota nonprofit built on the belief that recreation, culture, and travel are not luxuries — they're essential to a full life.

Our Story

Too many individuals with disabilities face compounding barriers — social isolation, economic limitations, and physical inaccessibility — that prevent them from participating in the everyday experiences most people take for granted.

A trip to a museum. A weekend camping. An afternoon at a concert. These aren't extras. They're the experiences that build friendships, expand perspectives, and create the memories that make life meaningful.

Cole's Choice Foundation was founded in February 2026 by Joshua Robinson and a small group of dedicated individuals who saw these barriers firsthand and decided to do something about it. We organize, fund, and facilitate inclusive experiences so that every person — regardless of ability — has the choice to explore.

Cole's Choice Foundation incorporated as a Minnesota nonprofit corporation.

Board Organized

Founding board of directors held organizational meeting, adopted bylaws and policies.

Q1 2026

501(c)(3) Filing

Applying for federal tax-exempt status to begin accepting tax-deductible donations.

Q2 2026

First Programs Launch

Launching adaptive recreation events and our first cultural experience outings.

Travel Grant Program

Opening applications for our first round of inclusive travel grants.

The driving force behind Cole's Choice. Joshua founded the organization to create the inclusive experiences he saw were missing in the community. His vision is a world where disability never limits someone's ability to explore, connect, and grow.

A full-stack developer and systems builder, Logan brings technical expertise and organizational structure to the foundation. He's focused on building the digital infrastructure that will help Cole's Choice scale its impact.

A passionate advocate for accessible community experiences, Ryan contributes hands-on energy and a commitment to ensuring every event the foundation runs is welcoming, safe, and genuinely fun.

Kathy's dedication to making sure every voice is heard and every person included brings a compassionate, participant-first perspective to the board. She champions the human side of everything we do.
